Before travelling to Las Rozas with Spain this morning, Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra addressed his future at the club.

"Está claro que quiero quedarme aquí (en el Valencia)", said Javi Guerra, speaking to Cope and El Chiringuito.

His words are likely to reassure many Valencia supporters, aware the club has been willing to sell leading prospects.

Over the last four league matches, the Gilet-born midfielder delivered three goals and three assists, a surge that helped the team fight for European places and lifted the club away from the relegation zone.

Guerra has been called into the support group for Spain’s senior side as they prepare for friendlies before the World Cup.
