Joao Gomes is the subject of fresh claims of a £39m move to Atletico Madrid, with a five-year deal proposed.
Sky Sports reports an agreement has been reached, more than double the £16m Wolves paid in 2023, and that he is keen on the switch.
Wolves target Dan Neil, out of contract after helping Sunderland win promotion, is attracting interest from Valencia head coach Carlos Corberan. He is set to leave the Black Cats this summer and Coventry City are also keen.
Goalkeeper Nikolas Polster, linked with Wolves with Jose Sa set to leave, is also on Celtic’s radar. Reports suggest the Wolfsberger stopper favours the champions.
For a second straight window, Albion have been linked with Sunderland keeper Anthony Patterson. He was considered in January before a loan to Millwall, while the Baggies signed Max O’Leary, who has been offered new terms. Coventry City are now viewed as front runners.
Albion will look to the loan market this summer. Brighton’s £10m winger Tommy Watson, who starred in Sunderland’s play-off final win before joining the Seagulls, is reportedly available for loan.
Aston Villa hold strong interest in Gabriel Sara, who left Norwich for Galatasaray in 2024 and is valued at around €40m. Villa and Crystal Palace are also monitoring Marseille midfielder Quinten Timber, 24, who joined in January and became a regular, and is open to a Premier League move.
