Juventus have completed the signing of highly rated Bayer Leverkusen teenager Kerim Alajbegović after a Europe-wide chase. According to BuLi News, the 18-year-old moves to Turin for a fee exceeding €30m, with add-ons that could take the package beyond €35m. That level would make him one of the most expensive 18-year-olds in Bundesliga history.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina international is expected to play a key role in Juventus’ long-term plans following interest from several clubs. Chelsea reportedly made a strong push before he opted for Italy.

His summer has been complex. Leverkusen had only just brought him back by activating a reported buy-back clause after his spell at RB Salzburg, intending to integrate him into the first team. The teenager was reportedly attracted by Juventus’ promise of a more significant role.

The saga initially linked him with Atalanta, then became a head-to-head between Juventus and Chelsea before his decision. He can operate wide or as an advanced midfielder, and is noted for technique, creativity and one-on-one ability.

Alajbegović represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the 2026 World Cup, boosting his profile. For Juventus, the deal underlines continued investment in youth. For Leverkusen, it brings a sizeable return on a player who never made a senior competitive appearance.
