Juventus had productive opening talks with Chelsea concerning Renato Veiga and will keep negotiating. He’s ahead of the other options that have emerged lately. The two sides also touched on Ben Chilwell, but the main focus was the Portuguese center-back, Tuttomercatoweb informs.
The Blues need to make a decision as they have just one slot for a loan at the moment. A few of their players have received requests in that season. They could open up another, but they have to pick and choose.
Juventus appear to have broken through with Veiga, who would prefer them over other destinations if possible. Before the Bianconeri barged into the race, Borussia Dortmund were discussing a loan with a €30M option to buy. It remains to be seen whether the conditions would be the same for the Italian outfit. The counterparty could push for a permanent deal. Olympique Marseille are also keen.
Despite some rumors, the Old Lady isn’t interested in Axel Disasi, who could leave London too. Moreover, the two outfits haven’t talked about Dusan Vlahovic, whose future in Turin is far from secure, Fabrizio Romano relayed. The Blues already tried in the past but failed to come to terms with both him and his outfit.
It’s not the worst idea to give Thiago Motta a versatile defender with potential, and they could surely use a lefty, but he wouldn’t been an upgrade over their current starters. They need a stud to replace Gleison Bremer, but it looks like they won’t be able to sign one and will settle with bolstering their depth.
