Juventus are aiming to bounce back immediately after their Coppa Italia elimination at the hands of Atalanta, while Lazio arrive on a high following a last-gasp victory over Genoa. The capital club will be eager to produce another big performance.
The hosts approach this fixture with few selection concerns, with the only confirmed absentees strikers Dusan Vlahovic and Arkadiusz Milik. Both are sidelined with tendon and muscle issues respectively, and neither is expected to return to action until the latter part of February or the beginning of March.
As a result, Luciano Spalletti is once more likely to entrust the centre-forward role to Jonathan David, with the Canadian spearheading an attack supported by the likes of Kenan Yildiz and Weston McKennie.
Juventus are set to name a strong starting XI, featuring Michele Di Gregorio between the posts, a defensive line of Andrea Cambiaso, Pierre Kalulu, Lloyd Kelly and Bremer, and a double pivot in midfield of Manuel Locatelli and Khéphren Thuram.
Spalletti has consistently underlined that his team must dominate possession and find reliability in their performances, recently stating that “we have quality, and we have to start from here” and that the side needs to “move towards victory and not the other way around.” His comments reflect a clear demand for control, intensity and a winning mentality from this Juventus group.
Possible Juventus starting XI: Di Gregorio; Kalulu, Bremer, Kelly, Cambiaso; Locatelli, Thuram; Conceicao, McKennie, Yildiz; David.
The match will kick off at 7:45pm BST on Sunday, 8th February.
For viewers in the UK, the game will be broadcast live on TNT Sports 1, with streaming available through Discovery+ / DAZN.
