Karlan Grant returns to Charlton after turning down new West Brom deal | OneFootball

Karlan Grant has joined Championship rivals Charlton on a two-year contract after rejecting an offer to remain with West Brom.

The player said in a post that he was grateful for his time at WBA, thanked supporters and wished the club well.

Grant signed a six-year deal when he moved to Albion from Huddersfield for £15 million in 2020, scoring 35 goals in 173 appearances.

Although Albion offered fresh terms to keep him at The Hawthorns, it had long appeared likely he would move on this summer. The Baggies have already added forwards Barney Stewart and Jimmy-Jay Morgan.

The move takes Grant back to the club where he began his professional career, having broken through as a teenager and made nearly 100 appearances for the Addicks.
