Bayer Leverkusen have exercised their contractual buy-back option for Kerim Alajbegovic. The Bosnian international will therefore return to the Werkself next summer.

Kerim joined us from Leverkusen's U19 team in July 2025 and quickly developed into a key player. The two-footed attacking midfielder not only delivered in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga, but also performed well on the European stage in UEFA Champions League qualifiers and the UEFA Europa League. So far, the 18-year-old has 14 goal involvements (11 goals and 3 assists) in 36 appearances for our Red Bulls.

Kerim will remain one of our lads until the end of the season, and we look forward to getting the most out of the remaining season together!
