Kylian Mbappé returns as EA Sports FC 27 cover star | OneFootball

Kylian Mbappé will front EA Sports FC 27, ending a four-year absence from the franchise. According to L'Équipe, the Real Madrid forward will be on the game's cover when it launches on 25 September 2026, drawing level with Lionel Messi's four appearances.

He returns after leaving the role while still at Paris-Saint-Germain. Developed by Electronic Arts, FC 27 will carry his image on its box art.

Mbappé previously headlined FIFA 21, FIFA 22 and FIFA 23. Shortly after the reveal he posted “I'm Back” on social media.

His latest cover puts him among the franchise's most frequent faces, alongside Wayne Rooney, Ronaldinho and Lionel Messi. Rooney has seven covers, Ronaldinho five and Messi four.

The first gameplay trailer is scheduled for Thursday 23 July at 18:00, French time.
