La Liga star assures ‘you can say no to Barcelona’ | OneFootball

Real Sociedad star Mikel Oyarzabal has again moved to play down media speculation linking him with a potential move to La Liga rivals Barcelona this week.

Frontman Oyarzabal has of course seen his name emerge as a prominent one in the Spanish media headlines of late. This comes amid the understanding that, amid an ongoing search for reinforcements up top, Barcelona have earmarked the 29-year-old as a potential summer signing.

Frustrated in their pursuit of first-choice target Julián Alvarez, the Blaugrana have been tipped to launch an offensive for Oyarzabal instead.

The Spaniard – in the midst of a fine World Cup campaign to date – has already moved to rebuff the suggestion that he is ready for a new challenge away from Anoeta this summer.

And as alluded to above, on Thursday, Oyarzabal reiterated the same message once more.

Speaking during an interview with El Chiringuito TV, as cited by journalist Fabrizio Romano, the talented attacker assured:

“Can you say no to Barcelona? Yes, you can! I believe you can. There are players who said no to them.”
