Lazio have reportedly made swift progress in their quest to sign Real Madrid youth product Bruno Galassi.
Last week, the Biancocelesti announced that they have been restricted to a net-zero transfer market after failing to go below the 70% threshold in the cost-per-revenue ratio. Therefore, the club is expected to sell key players and replace them with cost-efficient youngsters, maintaining the same modus operandi adopted in January.
While Lazio are preparing to sell a Real Madrid youth product in Mario Gila, who could be on his way to Napoli, the Italian capital side could buy a young player from the Spanish giants. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Aquile are close to signing Bruno Galassi, a 19-year-old midfielder who plays for Los Merengues’ third team.
Galassi was born and raised in Spain but has Argentine heritage. He began his career at the academy of Rayo Vallecano before moving to Getafe in the summer of 2021. Two years later, he made the nearby switch to Real Madrid, and has thus far represented the club’s U17, U18 and third teams.
The teenager’s contract with Los Blancos runs until June 2028. Transfermarkt estimates his value at €100,000 and reveals his ability to play at the heart of the backline in addition to his original role as a central midfielder.
Aside from Galassi, Lazio have been linked with several other youngsters, especially Bayern Munich’s Jonthan Asp Jensen, a 20-year-old Dane who primarily plays as an attacking midfielder.
