With only a few days separating us from the official start of pre-season, Lazio have revealed their full summer schedule.

The Background

After spending 17 summers in the Friulian town of Auronzo di Cadore, the Biancocelesti broke the habit last summer by moving their entire pre-season camp to the club’s training center at Formello, and it will be the same this year.

Lazio Players Will Arrive for Pre-Season in the Coming Days

As confirmed by the official note posted on the club’s website, the Lazio players will gradually report to the pre-season camp starting this Thursday (July 9). The first three days will be dedicated to routine medical visits and athletic tests.

Training Schedule at Formello & Fan Access

On Monday, July 13, training will begin under the tutelage of new Lazio head coach Gennaro Gattuso and his technical collaborators. There will be a morning session and another in the afternoon for the first two weeks (July 26), all of them behind closed doors.

By Wednesday, July 29, the second phase of the preparations will begin, with selected fans granted access to the training session, as well as the opportunity to meet the players.

Lazio to Play Six Friendlies This Summer

Lazio also announced six summer friendly tests, beginning with a game against the club’s Primavera squad, which will be played behind closed doors on July 20. This will be followed by matches against Flaminia Civita Castellana, Avellino, Ascoli, and Ostiamare, before ending their summer preparations with an away contest against the newly promoted Frosinone, who will be their only top-flight opponent.

* Lazio-Flaminia Civita Castellana – Sunday 26 July, 6:00 pm, match open to the public, Mirko Fersini Stadium.

* Lazio-Avellino – Saturday 1st August, 11:00 am, match open to the public, Mirko Fersini Stadium.

* Ascoli-Lazio – Sunday 2 August, 8.45pm, Cino and Lillo Del Duca Stadium in Ascoli Piceno.

* Lazio-Ostiamare – Wednesday 5 August, 6:00 pm, match open to the public, Mirko Fersini Stadium.

* Frosinone-Lazio – Sunday 9 August, 8.45pm, Benito Stirpe Stadium, Frosinone.
