Lazio formally unveiled their Stadio Flaminio renovation plans in Rome, with engineer Alessandro Lanzetta providing a timeline for the works.
La Lazio Siamo Noi reports that he expects construction to start in the first half of 2027 and be completed in the first half of 2031.
The presentation at the club’s headquarters began with president Claudio Lotito delivering a lengthy prepared speech, stressing the project’s importance for the club and the city. He also extended an olive branch to supporters currently in open rebellion against him.
Lanzetta said the process would follow the stadium law, the same route taken by Roma.
The schedule fits Lotito’s stated aim of hosting Euro 2032 matches at the rebuilt Stadio Flaminio. Work cannot start without approval from the relevant authorities, particularly the municipality of Rome, which owns the site, and Italy’s slow bureaucracy may yet delay paperwork beyond the start of next year.
