Leeds United head to West Ham for Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final, a 4.30pm kick-off at the London Stadium. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Daniel Farke could name a strong side, with Gabriel Gudmundsson available after a one-game ban.
It is United’s first outing after a two-week March international break, during which a dozen Leeds players were on senior duty. They last played on Saturday, March 21, a goalless home draw with Brentford, when Jayden Bogle replaced the suspended Gudmundsson in the only change.
Farke has rotated heavily in every round, and injuries complicate the picture, but a semi-final carrot may temper changes. In goal, Lucas Perri may keep his Cup place after starring in the penalty shoot-out win at Birmingham City and starting the fifth-round triumph over Norwich City, with Karl Darlow having begun the run in round three at Derby.
On the right, Bogle feels the natural pick at wing-back, particularly if James Justin is needed centrally. Willy Gnonto and Dan James have featured as wing-backs in earlier rounds.
At centre-back, Justin could partner Jaka Bijol, who has played every minute of the Cup run. Joe Rodon is yet to start in the competition, so might again be held in reserve.
The final slot may fall to Pascal Struijk ahead of Sebastiaan Bornauw, who started the fifth round but was withdrawn at half-time and has been an unused substitute twice since.
On the left, Gudmundsson could complete a robust back line at wing-back, though Justin, Gnonto, James or Sam Byram are alternatives.
