Leeds United are yet to announce a signing this summer, but an agreement is in place to bring free agent Harry Wilson after he left Fulham with 10 goals and seven assists last season. Work is ongoing on targets including Shea Charles and Julian Brandt.
Chairman Paraag Marathe has said there will be departures, with senior figures seeking strong value. Pascal Struijk has ended an eight-and-a-half year stay by joining Brighton in a deal understood to be worth £18m plus £2m in add-ons, with a sell-on clause included. As reported by The Athletic in May, Freiburg have enquired about Willy Gnonto.
Karl Darlow has officially left as a free agent, although he remains in talks over a new Leeds contract. A proposal is on the table, with rival interest mooted from Manchester United and Everton.
Illan Meslier’s exit was confirmed earlier this month following the expiry of his deal. The French goalkeeper has since been linked with Arsenal, who could seek back-up to David Raya.
In Germany, Sebastiaan Bornauw has been linked with FC Koln as they search for defensive experience. It is unclear whether the Belgian is open to leaving, or if Leeds would sanction it.
Isaac Schmidt is expected to move on permanently this summer, with Basel and Young Boys linked. The 26-year-old has returned from a loan at Werder Bremen, who did not trigger a £2.5m option.
Activity is expected to accelerate once the World Cup finishes, with Elland Road braced for a busy few weeks.
