According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Leeds United’s 2025 intake has been graded after a 14th-place finish, with marks ranging from A+ to D ahead of another busy summer.
They aim to build on last season, with attacking upgrades likely to be prioritised and added depth across the squad welcome.
Goalkeeper Lucas Perri, £15.6m, struggled to produce decisive saves and his distribution was an issue. He was dropped after two January errors and is currently behind Karl Darlow. Grade D.
James Justin, £10m, made a slow start then started every Premier League match in 2026 across several roles. He impressed almost everywhere but an early lull kept him short of top marks. Grade B.
Jaka Bijol, £15m, debuted in late October then thrived once the back three arrived. Dominant centrally and composed in possession, with leadership praised by Daniel Farke. Grade A.
Sebastiaan Bornauw, £5m, offered reliable cover without threatening the first-choice trio. Leeds were unbeaten in his five league starts, the fewest of any 2025 arrival. Grade C.
Gabriel Gudmundsson, £10m, settled fastest among the overseas recruits and logged the most minutes. He surged down the left repeatedly yet ended without a goal or assist. Grade A.
Anton Stach, £17m, posted five goals and three assists and was a credible Player of the Season contender. Power and technique stood out, and a strong character too. Grade A+.
