Arsenal added Christos Tzolis for £34m, Illan Meslier on a free after his Leeds exit, and Piero Hincapie for £25m. Leandro Trossard left for Besiktas at £15.3m, while Jakub Kiwior and Karl Hein sealed permanent moves after loans.

Aston Villa signed Johan Manzambi for £50m, Alejandro Garnacho on loan from Chelsea, and Joao Gomes for £38m, plus Modou Keba Cisse on a pre-contract. Departures include Morgan Rogers to Chelsea for £117m and Youri Tielemans to Manchester United for £35m.
