Leeds United will be without Anton Stach for 10 to 14 days with a hip problem, so he will miss Friday's meeting with Nottingham Forest and next Tuesday's trip to Chelsea.

According to Leeds Live, the midfielder had already sat out the win over Fulham with a muscle issue, then started both matches on his return, before suffering a further setback. This could open the door for Sean Longstaff, back from a calf injury, to make his first start since November.

Lukas Nmecha is unlikely to face Forest as he continues his hamstring recovery, though a late inclusion remains a slim possibility with two days to go.

There is better news with Jaka Bijol back in training on Thursday, rejoining group sessions after missing the last three games. His previous appearance came at Derby County in the FA Cup.

James Justin has overcome a toe problem and is in contention for Friday. The £8 million summer signing has filled in at right-back, right centre-back and left-back during the switch to a three-five-two.

Daniel James might make the squad for the first time since going off at half-time against Manchester City with a hamstring injury, the game in which Farke first used a three-five-two. His place is not assured given Leeds' form and the extra competition following Facundo Buonanotte's arrival.
