Leeds United’s long-standing interest in Ilan Kebbal has resurfaced after the Paris FC playmaker translated his Ligue 2 form to Ligue 1.
AfricaFoot reports that English clubs are monitoring the 26-year-old, with Igor Paixao's Marseille leading the race as the summer window nears.
Leeds tracked Kebbal in Ligue 2, made contact with his representatives and were ready to explore a deal, indicating he was firmly on their radar.
His 2023-24 return of six goals and 11 assists explained that attention. Promoted Paris FC then handed him a top-flight stage, and this season he has 23 appearances, eight goals and four assists from an attacking midfield role.
The underlying data backs it up, with steady chance creation, a high key-pass output and pass accuracy in the mid 80s.
There is no suggestion talks have restarted, but given prior groundwork Leeds are a logical part of the group keeping tabs. With Marseille pushing domestically, competition has intensified and his valuation is thought to be around 4.8 million.
Paris FC and Leeds both sit within a cluster of clubs tied to Red Bull investment and influence. That does not drive transfers directly, but it places Kebbal within a familiar recruitment framework.
