Leeds United’s trip to Tottenham Hotspur in a key relegation fight has been moved to Monday 11 May at eight pm, creating a testing journey for travelling supporters. Leeds Live reports that the fixture has been switched for television.
It had been set for a rare Saturday three pm kick-off, but will now be played on the Monday.
Leeds will host Burnley on Friday one May, then have a 10-day gap before visiting Spurs, making it a pivotal pair of fixtures in the survival fight.
Leeds are three points ahead of Spurs, who have appointed Roberto De Zerbi as their new manager for the relegation scrap. The Whites are 13 points above Burnley, who could be relegated that Friday at Elland Road if they have not already gone down.
Daniel Farke will probably welcome the extended build-up and time on the training ground, although De Zerbi is likely to feel the same.
