Lennart Karl’s Bayern deal turns professional and extends to 2029

Lennart Karl marked his 18th birthday with his Bayern Munich contract turning professional and extending to 2029, triggering a pay rise to around €2 million a year.

A clause added during last summer’s renewal stipulated the switch upon turning 18, shifting the end date from 2028 to 2029.

Bild claims Bayern want fresh talks to take his deal to 2031, with wages that could climb to €7-8 million annually.

Kicker reports the attacking midfielder is concentrating on establishing himself in the first team rather than further negotiations.
