In a tight first half, the hosts had a handful of chances on goal; however, they were matched by Brentford goalkeeper Evie Thorne Ford, who made superb saves to keep the game level.
The Bees best chance of the opening 45 minutes came through Leah Robertson as she got in behind and found herself one-on-one with O’s goalkeeper Lola Durojaiye. The latter made a timely save to keep the game 0-0 at half-time.
The fresh legs of substitutes Freya Morgan and Marta Boabonay helped the Bees kick-start the second half, but it was the hosts who broke the stranglehold just after the hour mark.

A long-range free-kick sailed towards the back post, Georgia Griffin was there to meet it and turn it home for Leyton Orient.
Despite going behind, the Bees continued to battle against the higher-ranked opposition and the game remained 1-0 with 10 minutes to play.
The game was put to bed on 81 minutes as Grace Gillard doubled the O’s lead. A well-placed corner fell to Gillard seven yards out from goal, and she was able to put the ball into the back of the net to book Leyton Orient’s place in the semi-final.
Ryan-Maynard’s side now turn their attention back to the Greater London Division One South, with a clash against CB Hounslow & Abbots it come on 12 April at Bedfont Sports Club.
