After Liverpool's 2-0 victory over Brighton this Saturday, Arne Slot once again addressed the Mohamed Salah situation.

Last Tuesday, Mohamed Salah was left out of Liverpool's squad for the Champions League match against Inter Milan (1-0). Immediately, Salah was linked with rumors of a possible departure. However, the Liverpool winger is not expected to leave the Reds this winter, despite the intensity of the speculation. Speaking to the press after the 2-0 Premier League win over Brighton—which marked Salah’s return to the squad and the pitch—Reds manager Arne Slot seemed to bury the hatchet with the Egyptian star.

"I think if he wasn’t in Milan, it was because of his interview. The question is always the same, and everyone has their own opinion about it: should he have been sanctioned once, twice, three times, four times, four months, twelve years... every manager makes a different decision. He didn’t play against Milan. I spoke with him yesterday and, usually, I never comment on our conversations. I won’t make an exception this time either, but I believe actions speak louder than words. He was back in the squad and, when I had to make my first substitution, I brought him on. He played exactly as I think all the fans—including myself—were hoping," the Dutch manager explained.
