Cody Gakpo is often a source of frustration for Liverpool supporters but you can't argue with his output. He's got four goal contributions in the Premier League so far this season - the joint highest for the Reds alongside Mo Salah and Hugo Ekitike.
Last season only Salah got more goal contributions than Gakpo in all competitions for Slot's side.
So, he's someone who can make an impact in the opposition's final third on a consistent basis.
But there's more to Gakpo than just output. He's also a very good player when it comes to progressing the ball through carries.
The previous statement may raise some eyebrows among Liverpool supporters but Gradient, a sports analytics company, has created a graph to demonstrate just how impressive the Dutchman's numbers are.

Looking at Gakpo this season, he's amassed one of the highest volume of ball carries among wingers in the Premier League. There are only a handful of players who have made more ball carries.
But it's not just the volume that's interesting, it's about the quality. Gradient's grade rates Gakpo's ball-carrying as the best in the league among his positional peers, which is incredible.
If he could increase his volume even further, Liverpool could easily be looking at one of the best wingers not just in the league but in the world.
After all a winger who can progress the ball with the quality Gakpo has, and score and assist in the final third, has to be among the best.
Based on the output so far this season, you'd even go as far as to suggest he isn't someone who could be the best, but he is the best.
Another statistic that underlines this is the fact that Gakpo has 8 goal contributions for club and country in the 2025/26 campaign so far - only one Premier League winger has more - Antoine Semenyo.
