Liverpool REJECT multiple offers for star player

One player is going nowhere after Liverpool have made him 'non-transferable' according to a recent report.

While the transfer window has slammed shut in England some markets are still open, which means there are opportunities for those players who didn't get moves to their desired destinations to still find a club that wants them.

The most notable markets that are still open are the Turkish and the Saudi Arabian one. Both are going to end at the end of the month but until then they have been busy making moves.

For Liverpool this is an opportunity that could potentially see deadwood leave the club, if there were any deadwood at Anfield. But the reality is that Liverpool do not have any of the kind.

The Reds have strengthened significantly this summer but they have also sold most of their players on the fringes. Stars like Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz were all sold on, with the former going to Saudi Arabia.

Everyone who remains are players who are going to be an integral part of Arne Slot's plans for the upcoming season.

The only question mark is perhaps Federico Chiesa. He has been excluded from Arne Slot's final Champions League squad with Liverpool being unable to register him.

This on top of Alexander Isak's arrival has significantly reduced the Italian's chances of regular playing time. He'd already struggled for minutes last season and now with Isak and Hugo Ekitike ahead of him in the pecking order, it's hard to see where he really fits in.

Yet at the same time it's also important to note, Isak has had injury problems in the past, Mohamed Salah is going to be heading to the African Cup of Nations for who knows how long later this year, so Chiesa may still get opportunities.

No one would blame him however if he was angling for a move and trying to find a new club for himself, even with the window shut.

He'd certainly not be short of suitors given his status in the game and the fact that even though he's been used sparsely, he's still made an impact every time he has been on the pitch.
