Reds need historic night at Anfield to keep European dream alive
Liverpool face an almighty task to reach the Champions League semi-finals as they welcome Paris Saint-Germain to Anfield.
A 2-0 loss in last week’s quarter-final first leg leaves Arne Slot’s side facing elimination at the hands of the reigning champions, who also ended the Reds’ European hopes last season.
A win over Fulham at the weekend, coupled with Chelsea’s defeat to Manchester City, has strengthened Liverpool’s chances of being at Europe’s top table next season, but their more immediate ambitions will require them keeping arguably Europe’s most fearsome attack at bay - and scoring at least twice.
By Arne Slot’s own admission, Liverpool could have been facing a far more significant mountain to climb after last week’s showing. They are down, but not out just yet.
Liverpool vs PSG is scheduled for an 8pm BST kick-off on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
The match will take place at Anfield.
TV channel: The game will be broadcast on Amazon Prime Video. Coverage starts at 6.30pm BST ahead of an 8pm kick-off.

Liverpool have lost Curtis Jones to injury, after the midfielder was forced off against Fulham at half-time with a groin problem.
Hugo Ekitike and Milo Kerkez were fully rested at the weekend, so will start, while youngster Rio Ngumoha has thrown his hat into the ring to get the nod after becoming the Reds' youngest-ever Premier League scorer at Anfield.
Virgil van Dijk and Ryan Gravenberch are one yellow card away from missing the semi-final first leg.
PSG, who were given the weekend off thanks to a successful appeal to Ligue 1, will hope to have Bradley Barcola fit enough to join the matchday squad after returning from an ankle injury earlier than expected.
Fabian Ruiz, though, remains sidelined. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is one yellow card away from missing the semi-final first leg.
Liverpool have shown little sign that they can keep PSG at bay, and this team is arguably even stronger than the one which triumphed at Anfield last season.
Mohammed Salah will have to produce his best performance in 12 months if this game is not to be his last in the Champions League.
Liverpool 1-3 PSG (1-5 agg.)
