LOSC begin pre-season with 25 players as Srdanovic and Bayo report, Davide Ancelotti absent | OneFootball

LOSC’s first-team squad resumed work on Monday at Domaine de Luchin with 25 players present, L'Équipe reports, but new head coach Davide Ancelotti was absent.

The club ended last season third in Ligue 1, a finish that spares them the Champions League third qualifying round.

The intake for day one included Mohamed Bayo, back from a loan at Gaziantep, Türkiye, and right-back Loun Srdanovic, 19, newly signed from Servette. Hamza Igamane was also on site to continue rehabilitation from a right ACL rupture sustained in January.

Players were introduced to the new backroom team, but not yet to Ancelotti. His World Cup stint as assistant to his father Carlo with Brazil ended on Sunday night with a last 16 defeat to Norway, 1-2.

Lille president Olivier Létang wishes to give him a little time to recover. The training group also featured Olivier Giroud and Ethan Mbappé.
