Luís Boa Morte will not join Marco Silva’s backroom team at Benfica next season.
O JOGO reports that the former winger was briefly linked to the project due to his past with Silva, but the idea was quickly dismissed as Benfica pursued other options.

Boa Morte worked alongside Silva in England for several years, first at Everton and then at Fulham, a spell noted for continuity.
Their collaboration ended in 2024 when Boa Morte became Guinea-Bissau head coach. In 2025/26 he returned to an assistant role at Samsunspor in Türkiye, continuing his international career.
Benfica are building a new coaching structure for the coming campaign, and Gonçalo Santos is confirmed.
