Luis Castro has been appointed Levante head coach on Saturday, with the La Liga side bottom of the table.
The Portuguese, previously in charge at Nantes and Dunkerque, was also on Saint-Étienne’s radar. L'Équipe reports that the deal runs until 2027 with an option for a further year.

Levante drew 1-1 with Real Sociedad the same day, and talks between the parties accelerated after that result.
Castro led Nantes until 10 December, when he was dismissed.
He now steps into a new challenge in La Liga.
