Mahdi Camara struck twice as Rennes won 3-0 at Auxerre on Franck Haise’s debut, headlining a lively Ligue 1 matchday 23. Habib Beye’s Marseille tenure opened with a 2-0 defeat at Brest, while Nice and Lorient drew 3-3 and Lyon’s 13-game streak ended.

After a 1-1 draw at Toulouse, Paris FC replaced Stéphane Gilli with Antoine Kombouaré. According to Le Progres, it is the eighth managerial change in Ligue 1 this season.

Ludovic Ajorque’s brace did for OM, and Beye said work is needed and his side must raise their physical intensity after struggles in duels. Marseille will travel to Marbella this week for a training camp.

Camara settled Rennes with a clinical finish then another before the break, his all-action display sealing 3-0 and giving Haise a smooth start.

At the Allianz Riviera, Nice led 2-0 then 3-1, with Tom Louchet scoring twice. Lorient hit back through a Pablo Pagis free-kick and a Bamba Dieng penalty, before Noah Cadiou equalised in stoppage time. Claude Puel’s team are 14th, seven points above play-off rivals Auxerre.

Lens lost 3-2 to Monaco, after which Pierre Sage said they had messed up and that the priority is to avoid a repeat and recover quickly. Strasbourg beat Lyon 3-1, ending OL’s 13-match run, though they remain third ahead of a trip to Marseille next Sunday.
