Mamadou Sarr to arrive in London on Monday and return to Chelsea after termination of Strasbourg loan | OneFootball

According to a report from Fabrice Hawkins, Mamadou Sarr (20) is expected to arrive in London on Monday ahead of his return to Chelsea. The Senegalese international has been on loan at Strasbourg during the first half of the season. 

The Lyon academy graduate’s loan move with Strasbourg is now set to be cut short and he will return to West London. Chelsea are struggling with injuries at the heart of defence, and Liam Rosenior is convinced, after coaching the defender for 18 months with the Alsatian outfit, that he is ready to play in the Premier League. 

Chelsea recalling Sarr instead of Jacquet?

In addition to trying to reach an agreement with Strasbourg to recall Sarr from his loan, the Blues have also been trying to recruit Jérémie Jacquet (20) from Rennes in the winter transfer window. The French centre back has made a move to Stamford Bridge his priority, but Les Rouges et Noir seem unwilling to sanction a transfer in January.
