Betway Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns have revived their interest in Club Bolivar playmaker Ramiro Vaca, Foot Africa has established.
The Tshwane giants' interest dates back to 2021, but a deal has never materialized up to date, with the South African side opting for other South American talents during that period.
Notably, Vaca was heavily linked with a move to Morocco's Wydad Athletic Club in January, however the transfer collapsed as the Red Castle had exhausted their foreign quota.
Now, sources have indicated that Sundowns are back in the market for the 26-year-old midfielder, who made his senior Bolivia debut aged 17 eight years ago.
With teams from the Major League Soccer (MLS) and Europe also interested, Bolivar are understood to have slapped a $2 million (R33 million) price tag for the player.
Though Sundowns have brought in Nuno Santos and Miguel Reisinho during the off-season, Downs mentor Miguel Cardoso has been vocal about constantly reinforcing the team.
Vaca can play as a no.10, left winger and central midfielder. The Bolivia international has scored five goals and provided seven assists in 12 appearances across all competitions in 2025.
However, the player has not played a competitive match since May as he is currently under a doping ban after an illegal substance was found in his system during a doping control.
