Earlier this month, Manchester City reached an agreement to sign Gianluigi Donnarumma from PSG in a deal worth €35 million (£30.3 million), according to The Athletic.
Donnarumma will step in as Ederson’s replacement under Pep Guardiola, but he won’t be unchallenged. Young goalkeeper James Trafford is already in the squad and eager to push for playing time.
DAZN and SportMediaset journalist Orazio Accomando also confirmed the details, adding that the transfer includes up to €4 million in potential add-ons.

Pep Guardiola wasted no time handing Gianluigi Donnarumma the starting goalkeeper role, and the Italian delivered in his debut against Manchester United with a clean sheet. That decision now leaves Trafford facing a difficult situation.
TBR Football’s chief correspondent, Graeme Bailey, reported, citing sources, that Manchester City is aware of the situation developing with Trafford and intend to review it in the coming months, understanding the player’s potential frustrations.
With Stefan Ortega staying at the club, City could be open to a temporary move for Trafford.
The goalkeeper was recently named in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad after starting the season with City, but his spot is in jeopardy without consistent first-team football.
