Manchester City look to 3 Serie A players in hunt for Ederson’s successor | OneFootball

According to an exclusive report from the French outlet Foot Mercato, Manchester City are looking to Serie A to find their successor to goalkeeper Ederson (31).

Pep Guardiola’s side have struggled to match their high standards this season following a poor end to 2024 that saw the club win only twice in 14 matches. Ederson’s performances came under the microscope and the Brazilian international was at fault for making a number of mistakes.

Manchester City set sights on three profiles

This led Guardiola to field his backup option Stefan Ortega (32) on several occasions. The current Premier League title holders are reportedly looking to the future and have scouted three names from Serie A. The priority is Michele Di Gregorio (27) where contact has been made with Juventus with a view to a summer transfer.

However, it does not look like a simple negotiation meaning City have also been looking at Torino’s Vanja Milinković-Savić (27) and Parma’s Zion Suzuki (22). The latter, Foot Mercato, writes is apparently being looked at by Arsenal and Bayern Munich.
