Marcus Rashford was in loan action once more this weekend for FC Barcelona against Elche.
The England international headed into the match in fine form, having scored two goals and provided one assist in his last two matches for the Catalans.
His last match was an assist in the El Clasico defeat to Real Madrid.
He played 74 minutes of the match before being subbed off for Robert Lewandowski.
Rashford scored Barcelona’s crucial third goal just after the hour mark to restore their two goal advantage.
The ball was played in from the right and he controlled it well before shifting into space.
The 28 year old fired an unstoppable drive with his left foot onto the underside of the crossbar before it bounced into the back of the net.
Rashford also provided one key pass in the match for his teammates and two of his three crosses found their intended target.
He also completed 70% of his passes but 100% of his long ball attempts.
The exciting attacker had three shots that were blocked by the Elche defence and also missed another big chance to grab a second goal of the game. He also impressed with his trademark dribbling as he beat the visitors’ defence three times.
Rashford also contributed defensively, winning four ground duels during his time on the pitch.
He has now scored six goals and provided seven assists in 14 matches for Barcelona in what has been a highly impressive loan spell so far.
The United loanee will likely next be in action when Barcelona travel to Belgium to face Club Brugge in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.
