Marcus Tavernier signs new Bournemouth contract

Bournemouth have tied Marcus Tavernier down to a new contract that will keep him at Vitality Stadium until 2029.

The midfielder has been ever-present in the Premier League so far this season and continues to play a central role under Andoni Iraola.

Tavernier first joined the Cherries in 2022 and has since established himself as one of the side’s most reliable performers, making 93 appearances across all competitions. Usually seen in a more advanced role, he has dropped slightly deeper this campaign.

He’s already made his mark this campaign too, bagging the winner in Bournemouth’s 1-0 triumph over Wolves at Vitality Stadium, which also secured their first league victory of the season.
