Martin Satriano’s stunning volley downs Real Madrid for Getafe | OneFootball

On loan from OL, Martin Satriano smashed a decisive volley on Monday to give Getafe a narrow, precious victory at Real Madrid.

Getafe prevailed at the Bernabeu through rugged defending and, according to Le Progres, Satriano’s 20-metre strike after a team-mate’s headed flick that flew into Thibault Courtois’s top corner. They protected the lead to the finish.

The Uruguayan arrived on loan in January with an option to buy worth six and a half million euros, which would become obligatory under certain conditions, namely a reasonable number of appearances. He had scored three goals in 19 outings for OL between summer 2025 and January.

Since joining, he has featured in seven straight league matches, which points in the right direction for OL and for the south Madrid side. Poorly placed beforehand, Getafe have won three of their last four games.

Satriano had already scored in mid-February against Villarreal, and on Monday he was unquestionably the match winner at the Bernabeu. The result leaves Getafe eight points clear of the relegation zone in 11th place.
