Tawanda Maswanhise's first half double gave Motherwell a 2-0 win at Livingston, keeping the visitors fourth while the hosts remain bottom.

Calum Ward saved early from Connor McLennan to prevent Livingston striking first. Jerome Prior kept the game alive for the hosts with smart stops, notably denying Maswanhise before the interval and again after the restart.

After the changes, substitute Mohamed Sylla headed wide from a corner (70.) as Livingston pushed for a lifeline. Late on, Johnny Koutrombis went off injured and was replaced.

Motherwell registered 14 attempts, six on target, and completed 88.4% of their passes. Livingston managed four attempts with one on target and posted 85.6% passing accuracy. Maswanhise is now on 13 league goals, first in the Scottish Premiership scoring.

Next, Livingston host Falkirk. Motherwell visit Dundee.
