Chris Moore's side, who currently occupy second place in the Under-18 Premier League North, were one of 32 sides to join the competition at the third round stage and the cup tie against their Pompey counterparts will take place on home soil, with kick-off set at 6pm (GMT).
The young Magpies have won the competition twice in their history after tasting success in 1962 before a side including Geordie midfielder Paul Gascoigne, lifted the cup in 1985.
Newcastle reached the quarter-finals of the prestigious youth tournament in 2016/17 but their impressive run was ended by Tottenham Hotspur in a 5-3 defeat at St. James’ Park while a Magpies side involving Elliot Anderson reached the last-eight stage four years later before losing out to eventual winners Aston Villa.
At this stage, when a match is drawn after 90 minutes, an extra 30 minutes shall be played (15 minutes in each half) and if the score remains level after extra-time, the winner shall be determined by a penalty shoot-out.
