Former Corinthians and ABC forward Matheus Matias has been announced as a new signing for Lions Natal FC’s fut7 team, marking a return to seven-a-side at 27.

In 2017, aged 19, he shone in fut7 for Real Natal while training with ABC’s under-19s. Towards the end of that year’s Série B he was promoted by coach Itamar Schulle to ABC’s first team, making 10 appearances and scoring two.

He began 2018 as ABC’s focal point, hitting 10 goals in 10 matches, and moved to Corinthians in February.

At Corinthians he featured in two official games in 2018, then played for the under-23s in 2021, scoring two in 13 outings.

In 2024 he played Série D for Potiguar de Mossoró after recovering from a heart problem that had stopped him signing for Santa Cruz, of Recife. He also had spells with Fluminense-PI and Maranhão in 2025.

His most recent professional club was Bravos do Maquis in Angola’s top flight, where between September 2025 and May 2026 he made five appearances and scored once.
