Matheus Pereira steps up recovery, begins transition, as Corinthians prepare for Coritiba

Corinthians held their penultimate session at CT Joaquim Grava on Monday morning ahead of Wednesday’s Campeonato Brasileiro meeting with Coritiba at Neo Química Arena, 21:30 Brasília time, with Matheus Pereira progressing in his recovery.

The club said the squad watched a tactical video, then worked on possession. Dorival Júnior led 10 against 10 tactical play and additional finishing.

Pereira is in the final phase of rehab from a grade two injury to the biceps femoris in his left thigh, and has now started physical transition work at the training centre.

Raniele and Allan, absent from some sessions last week, were involved.

After four matches, Corinthians have seven points and sit third in the league, three points behind leaders Palmeiras.
