Max Eberl is hopeful Manuel Neuer can feature in Bayern Munich’s DFB-Pokal final against VfB Stuttgart.
“We still have hope! That is what matters to us. And ‘Manu’ is 40 years old, so it won’t throw him off balance,” Eberl said. He was speaking to Bild during Bayern’s title celebrations on Sunday, which also reported he has not suffered a structural muscle injury, meaning he could theoretically feature.

“We hope that he’ll be able to play in goal on Saturday.”
Bayern are not expected to take risks, with Jonas Urbig ready to step in if required.
Eberl is Bayern Munich’s board member for sport.
