Corinthians will be without Memphis Depay, André Carrillo, Gabriel Paulista and Kaio César for Thursday’s match at Chapecoense, with the quartet rested due to physical fatigue. According to Globo.com, they will not travel to Chapecó for the 21:30 kick-off at Arena Condá.

On Sunday, Memphis and Gabriel Paulista completed the full 90 minutes in the derby against Santos. Kaio César and Carrillo started and were withdrawn in the second half.

Since last week, Carrillo has struggled to finish training sessions.

The decision was taken with a long-term view. The trio is considered essential to Dorival Júnior’s team and was protected to avoid any injury risk.

Corinthians have only the Brasileirão in March, with their Conmebol Libertadores group-stage debut scheduled for April.

Despite the rotation, the side are on a run of five games without a win this season. They sit mid-table in the Campeonato Brasileiro with eight points from 18.
