Mikel San José awarded lifetime pension after Basque court confirms incapacity

Mikel San José has been granted a lifetime pension after injuries forced him to retire.

According to Diario Vasco, he won a legal battle against the Instituto Nacional de la Seguridad Social.

The public body had lodged an appeal in the case.

The Tribunal Superior de Justicia del País Vasco has now confirmed the recognition of permanent total incapacity.

The ruling concerns the former Athletic Club de Bilbao footballer.
