Achraf Hakimi
With just six days to go before AFCON 2025, fantastic news has arrived for Achraf Hakimi in the Moroccan camp.
Morocco can breathe a sigh of relief now that there are six days left until AFCON 2025. According to Moroccan media this Monday, Achraf Hakimi and Sofyan Amrabat, two pillars of the national team, have fully recovered from their injuries. Upon their arrival at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, Hakimi and Amrabat began an intensive rehabilitation program overseen by the national team’s medical staff. The initial results have been extremely encouraging: both internationals responded quickly to treatment and have made steady progress.
On Monday, both players were cleared to rejoin full team training. This rapid recovery is a huge boost for head coach Walid Regragui, who can now rely on the experience and talent of his key players to aim high in the tournament.
The AFCON 2025 kicks off next Sunday and will run through to January 18. The Mohammed VI Complex in Maâmoura, the Atlas Lions’ training camp, is now strictly closed to the media and fans, with access limited to technical, administrative, and medical staff only.
