José Mourinho has reportedly held a one-hour video call with Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez, with agent Jorge Mendes also on the line, to discuss a possible return to the club.
ESDiario reports that Mourinho has yet to decide whether to leave his project at Benfica, but he has set out 10 conditions he views as essential to proceed.
These include at least a two-season contract and complete autonomy over the squad and dressing room. He wants no board interference in selection and insists on freedom to sideline players he deems not fully committed.
Among his requests is bringing João Tralhão, Ricardo Formosinho, Pedro Machado, Ricardo Rocha, Rúben Soares, António Dias and Nuno Santos as part of his staff.
Structural changes are also sought in the physical and medical departments, with Mourinho critical of the recent injury record in the Madrid squad.
Further conditions cover sporting planning and group management, including the departure of some current players and an end to long pre-season tours. Pérez’s response will determine whether talks move towards a return to Real Madrid.
