PSG continue revamping its backline with younger legs such as Willian Pacho, Lucas Beraldo, and Illia Zabarnyi over the last few transfer windows. Nonetheless, they might be losing a potential target for the future.
While these three young players, along with Lucas Hernandez and Marquinhos, are enough for this 2025-26 season, the Ligue 1 side could still be looking to add young legs to the position, considering the veteran players are at the back end of their prime years.
One player who PSG had been linked to in the past due to his connection with sporting advisor Luis Campos is Sven Botman, whom the Parisian executive had during his time at LOSC Lille.

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey reports that Newcastle are confident Sven Botman is ready to commit his future to the North East.
Moreover, the defender is expected to be the first of several key first-team players lined up for new contracts, with talks set to be fast-tracked and a deal potentially wrapped up by January.
Newcastle are keen to keep negotiations smooth, aware that the 25-year-old has become a genuine target for other clubs and is attracting significant attention.
TBR Football adds that PSG and Inter Milan have both monitored Botman’s progress closely in England, while Chelsea and Manchester City are also believed to be admirers.
