Leeds United could target players from relegated Premier League clubs as summer recruitment ramps up after Sunday's 3-0 defeat at West Ham. Daniel Farke's side finished 14th.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, three options apiece from West Ham, Burnley and Wolves stand out.

West Ham's win was hollow, their drop sealed by Tottenham beating Everton. Mateus Fernandes, 21, produced three goals and four assists, though a £40m fee and Champions League interest could put him out of reach. Jarrod Bowen, 29, had nine goals and 11 assists and suits the need for a left-footed right-winger, while Konstantinos Mavropanos scored three and plays in a four or three, but both will attract richer bidders.

At Burnley, uncertainty over Pascal Struijk in his final year means a left-footed centre-back remains a priority, and Maxime Esteve looks set to leave. Lesley Ugochukwu, 22, scored three and is box to box, though additions there would likely be a higher-floor back-up for Ethan Ampadu. Florentino Luis arrived on loan with a roughly £20m option and is a more defensive choice if Ilia Gruev were to depart.

For Wolves, Ladislav Krejci joined on loan from Girona with a permanent deal around £26m due. The 27-year-old has been solid on the left of a back three or four and can step into defensive midfield.

Joao Gomes has been near ever-present but is on Champions League radars. At left wing-back, 23-year-old Hugo Bueno has been linked before and could compete with Gabriel Gudmundsson.
