As communicated last week, we are looking to trial the expanded North Stand section at full capacity for the final Premier League match of the season against Aston Villa on Sunday 24 May.
This forms part of our phased opening and is subject to the facility passing a series of public and private test events to assess key operational elements.
While these final tests take place, we will begin selling 50% of the additional general admission seating allocation within the expanded North Stand for the Aston Villa match.
This phased approach allows ticket sales to progress while we wait for confirmation that we can sell the remaining seats.
Hospitality areas, the fan zone and the wider Medlock Square development will open later in 2026.
More than 3,500 tickets will go on sale at 10:00 (UK) on Friday 8 May to existing Cityzens Matchday and Junior Members (as of 18 June 2025) – one ticket per person.
All general admission tickets in the expanded section of the North Stand are sold subject to the successful completion of the required test events and operational checks.
Details of the Club’s refund policy can be found here, which we encourage everyone to read, as we will not be liable for any additional costs incurred by the ticketholder such as travel or accommodation. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to the terms of the Club’s refund policy.
The remaining 50% of tickets in the expanded North Stand will be released following the public test event on Wednesday 20 May, subject to its successful delivery and the completion of all required operational checks.
Should we successfully pass these final test events, ticketholders will be among the very first fans to experience the new stand and help make history as we break the Etihad Stadium’s previous attendance record.
Please note that there will be a reduced food and beverage offering for this match, and some elements of the fit-out works are expected to remain ongoing until the start of next season.
