Norway have named their 2026 World Cup squad, their first finals since 1998, with Bundesliga trio Sander Tangvik, Julian Ryerson and Antonio Nusa included.

Former Köln coach Ståle Solbakken selected the HSV goalkeeper alongside the expected picks of Ryerson and Nusa. BuLi News reports that Tangvik, 23, was promoted after Mathias Dyngeland's injury and FIFA's rejection of Nikita Haikin's nationality switch.

He saved a penalty on his HSV debut against Bayer Leverkusen and has five spot-kick saves from 11 in the Eliteserien. Ryerson is expected to be pivotal after registering 15 Bundesliga assists this season, and Norway's strikers could sharpen his set-piece impact. Nusa also impressed for RB Leipzig, and Ole Werner's men will be back in the Champions League next season.

Despite limited minutes at Sevilla, former Ingolstadt and RB Leipzig keeper Orjan Nyland is expected to start. The squad also features past Bundesliga experience, including Erling Haaland at Borussia Dortmund, Leo Ostigard at Hoffenheim, Morten Thorsby at Union Berlin, Alexander Sorloth at RB Leipzig and Jens Petter Hauge at Eintracht Frankfurt.

The announcement was delivered via a pre-recorded video by King Harald. Norway begin against Iraq, then face Senegal and France in a tricky group.
