Nottingham Forest are plotting a measured summer, with Vitor Pereira keen on minimal tweaks and early deals to build stability for 2026/27. The transfer chatter is gathering pace regardless.
Tuttomercatoweb reports Forest are among the clubs eyeing Gremio centre-back Viery, with Bologna exploring the “feasibility” of a move. The left-footer is under contract until the end of 2029 and is described as a fit for a back four, quick and strong on the ball.
Forest’s interest in Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney is back on the agenda after Boro missed out on promotion. TEAMtalk says the Reds are “preparing to move quickly” for the 23-year-old and intend to accelerate talks, while Manchester City are keen on Elliot Anderson, which could make Hackney a candidate if Anderson departs.
Hackney has 12 months left on his deal and is valued at around £25m. Tottenham Hotspur, Brentford, Everton, Fulham, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Brighton and Hove Albion have all scouted him in recent months.
Arnaud Kalimuendo’s loan to Eintracht Frankfurt prompted debate as he scored six goals in 19 Bundesliga games. Eintracht hold an option to buy and it seems likely a permanent move will follow, with The Telegraph putting a potential sale at about £23m. Sport Witness has relayed reports that the German club wanted to discuss reducing the fee.
